Layman's summary of test result jargon

Getting a test at a hospital or doctor's office often comes with a fair bit of uncertainty. Even when the results are posted to online portals, they can be full of jargon and acronyms that doctors, in their 2-3 line follow-up messages, do not explain. So patients may look up an acronym, then look up what that result entails, and find all kinds of information that may or may not apply to them, much of it scary.

This suggestion is for a GenAI tool that will expand on test results for a layman's understanding. It comes in two parts. The first part is little more than a lookup table: this bit of jargon stands for XYZ, and in general means that to a patient. It could also have follow-up information such as "If you see symptoms like ABC, contact your doctor", but maybe not. The second piece is more personalized. It takes the patient's entire medical chart into account when explaining a test result. "Given that you have conditions X and Y, and are currently taking medications A, B, and C, the result of this test may mean that you need to keep careful watch on your weight/blood-pressure/etc.". This latter piece may also be useful to doctors, who don't always have top-of-mind all the medications and conditions a patient may have. A mere skin irritation may mean something completely different given a suite of medications and additional medical conditions, for example.

There are currently two other ideas in the portal that relate to this, and may have synergistic effects on coding efforts. The ideas are titled "Generative AI to correct Any Notes in Trakcare" and "Implement a summary of a patient's medical history using AI".
