System Explorer->SQL allow print before running a SQL statement and getting results

Using System Explorer->SQL we can run a SQL statement and see the results. For some queries, for example in Health Insight against the HSAA.Observation table I would like to run

SELECT ObservationCode_code,ObservationCode_SDACodingStandard,count(*)

FROM hsaa.Observation

WHERE ObservationValueType='CE'

GROUP BY ObservationCode_code,ObservationCode_SDACodingStandard

And run the results to a file in the background.

While I can do this if I can firsly run the query and get some results so as to be able to select the Print hyperlink, I would really like to just be able to enter my SQL statement and select a action/button to Print before I even receive results. Why do I have to see the results before I can select the Print hyperlink.
