provide a switch to Hide/Unhide posts. or fix Re-Publish

based on actual experience I had this idea.
I found some of my old posts filled with broken URL links
to fix these errors would take time, that I hadn't at that moment
missing a HIDE switch I just unpublished it.
Re-Publishing marked it as NEW. No problems so far.
But all replies ( 6 years old) popped up creating a strange timing pattern:
- looks a bit like Marty McFly, Back to the Future

With a HIDE/UNHIDE flag the publishing date should not be touched:

Alternate solution:
Fix Publish action and set it only if there is no previous publishing date yet.

    Hi Robert!

We have improved the functionality - now the original date is saved for all new posts. With your old posts/draft, we change everything manually.
