In many environments 2FA/MFA is virtually mandatory due to regulations and compliance requirements.
IRIS supports 2FA for the accessing the portal as well as Java/JDBC connections.
Unfortunately my favorite (ad most popular?) JDBC SQL client application, DBeaver, does not implements 2FA to connect to IRIS.
Implementing 2FA in DBeaver driver for IRIS would allow the use of DBeaver in regulated environments where 2FA/MFA is mandated by compliance requirements.
As it is now, DBeaver (nor any other tool) can be used in these environments.
Thank you for submitting the idea. The status has been changed to "Needs review".
Stay tuned!
Let's do it, I can help with it, if anyone would like to sponsor it
there is a lot that can be added to DBeaver for IRIS, not just 2FA/MFA.
