Settings should be a part of Mirroring

Noticed that if some of the settings at the %SYS level are updated on the Primary instance of the mirror they are not being copied down to the rest of the Mirror members. If you do not notice this, then settings could get out of sync between the mirror members.


For example if any changes are made to External Language Servers like %JDBC or the SQL Gateway Connections then the other mirror instances do not know of the changes.


Methodology or a way needs to be added to ensure that settings are sync'd across all Mirror members.

    Hi Scott,

    thanks for submitting this idea. We have work in progress on segregating several types of settings (notably security ones) in a separate database, where they currently all reside in IRISSYS. That is a prerequisite to being able to propagate the right types of setting updates between instances.

Security settings for mirror configurations

Currently, there is no way to mirror security settings and configurations. Need a lib/tool to provide security settings mirroring capabilities
